Carleton's undergrad student owned coffee shop wanted to match their new environmental design by brewin' up a new logo.
Established in 1971, Rooster's is a high traffic coffee shop on the Carleton University campus. They were doing much needed renovations of their physical location -last done over a decade before- and wanted a refresh of their logo to match their new digs. The rooster's body was designed to be reminiscent of two coffee beans, as well, a silhoutte design was choosen as it would be easily reproducable and lower costs of printing of their disposable cups, which would add cost savings.
NOTE: After a switch in the student government the new identity was never put into circulation and they continued with their original logo.
